Black and White Film Developing

Sunday May 31, 1-4pm
$80 ($70 with university ID)
Limited to 3 spots

This workshop covers how to process 35mm or 120 black and white film. If you have been photographing and paying a lab to develop your negatives, come learn how do this efficiently and safely in your own home! We will cover supplies needed and where to get them, ways to load your film into a tank when you don’t have access to a darkroom, mixing / storing chemistry, and techniques for consistent results. Participants will leave with their dried roll of film in a negative sleeve. With time permitting, we will scan at least one negative strip so that you can preview the results of your negatives on a computer.

No film developing experience is required, participants should be 18+ years of age.

The workshop fee covers all materials, but participants will need to bring a finished roll of black and white film (35mm or 120 format) to develop. We cannot process color film in this workshop.
