Saturday November 7, 1-5pm
$75 ($65 with university ID)
Limited to 6 participants
This workshop covers how to mix and use traditional cyanotype chemistry. We will coat paper with the chemistry and then make prints in the sunlight with plant life or flat objects. We will also discuss contemporary cyanotype artists and look at experimental ways of working with this process. Participants will leave with 5-10 prints, depending on available sunlight. This can also be an opportunity to explore largely-untouched land and identify central Indiana plant life, so you may want to bring your hiking boots!
No photo experience is required, participants should be 18+ years of age.
The workshop fee covers all materials, optional items include:
- Large photographic negatives for those wanting to print lens-based imagery
- Other items for coating with cyanotype (light-colored fabric, alternative papers, etc.)
