The Experimental Photo Kitchen is an educational project of Bridget Conn. She is an experimental photographic artist and former Associate Professor of Art. With over 20 years of teaching experience, her workshops have taken her across the US and to Spain as part of the Experimental Photo Festival.
Workshops and individual lessons are held in Brown County, Indiana, on 5 acres of land, just 3 miles from Brown County State Park. The Experimental Photo Kitchen includes workspaces for developing film, a single-enlarger traditional darkroom, a small photo book library, and an outdoor sink for cameraless processes. Bridget also offers Zoom sessions for conceptual concerns with creating a body of work.
The Kitchen is the starting point for a future gang darkroom facility with 7 enlargers, also on-site. This project will allow for larger classes in traditional printing, large-format photography classes, guest instructors, and the opportunity to explore undeveloped woodlands for photographic opportunities.
