I’ve been working on the barn for most of August — still sorting through many items from our moves from Savannah and Asheville. A lot of items were left behind from the previous owner of our property as well, so I’m very excited for the dumpster that will be arriving in a few days.
Once many of the unpictured items behind this door are moved out, the next step will be insulation. We’ve already spoken with a plumber about plans to bring water from the house — we were thrilled to hear that it may be a little easier than planned.
In the meantime, it does appear we have some wood to chop, and I’m still settling on some dates for fall workshops. I’d love to get in a cyanotype workshop before the weather turns too cold. The basement will be good and toasty with our wood stove this winter for offering film development. Our last step is a film dryer, and then we will be good to go! Please check back and take a look at the Learn page as plans solidify.
